Jeff White, MA, LPC

Jeff White, MA, LPCI am passionate about assisting people in overcoming the obstacles they face in life, whether it’s the feeling of being “stuck”, or dealing with serious psychological distress. I aim to create a comfortable therapeutic environment where desired change can begin by using an approach that is tailored to each individual client. Every individual deserves and is capable of, a life free from psychological distress, and this is possible through a collaborative therapeutic process.

As a therapist, I do not believe that simply telling you what to do or think will solve your problems. Rather, I see my role as helping my clients understand both their situation and how to change it. Change, while sometimes difficult, is entirely possible, and I have been lucky to be part of this process throughout my career.

I have extensive experience working with adults and adolescents coping with anxiety, panic disorder, depression, eating disorders, trauma, substance abuse and self-harm. I try to tailor my therapeutic approach to each individual, combining aspects of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).  I have gained this experience working in both outpatient and partial hospitalization settings.
